Sunday, August 22nd 2021, 10:00am
Entry cut-off will be Wednesday, August 18th at 11:59pm. No further entries will be accepted.
All riders must sign a hold harmless agreement before 9:30am the day of the show. Agreements for riders ages 18 years and under must be signed by a parent or guardian. All entries must include $2,000,000.00 proof of liability insurance.
To speed up the event and to accommodate as many riders as possible, the following will apply for the Russell Fair:
- There will be a Leadline and Peewee division starting at 10:00 a.m. (If the parent/coach needs to be in the ring with the rider, he or she is required to be in lead-line class)
- Classes available to Leadline and Peewee will be Barrels, Dash and Keyhole
Following the Leadline class there will be a 20 minute warm up period for the Peewee, Youth and Senior riders.
We will then drag and set up for poles.
There will be a ring drag after every 10 horses. Before the end of each drag the next 10 horses to run should be in attendance at the start end of the ring. At all times the next two horses to run will be at the gate or in one of the pens at the start end of the arena. If you are not ready to make your run immediately after the horse ahead completes their run you will be disqualified.
A barrel or marker knock down will result in a no-time (N/T). In the event of a knock down you will be alerted by a whistle from the ring judge and you will be expected to stop your run and exit the ring directly. A five (5) second penalty will be assessed if the helmet or hat is not on the exhibitor for the entire time in the ring.
Riders can only show a maximum of two (2) horses per class. Horses may only be entered once per event per class (Leadline excluded).
PLEASE NOTE: No payouts, no high points and no team events will be held this year. No admission fees and no entry fees.
This is our chance to give back to you, our loyal members and supporters.
Rules from EOHU will be followed for COVID-19.
