* To speed up the event and to accommodate as many riders as possible, the following will apply for the Russell Fair:

  • START TIME: 10:00 a.m.
  • There will be a ring drag after every 10 horses.
  • Before the end of each drag the next 10 horses to run should be in attendance at the start of the ring. At all times the next two horses to run will be at the gate or in one of the pens at the start of the arena. If you are not ready to make your run immediately after the horse ahead completes their run you will be disqualified.
  • A barrel, pole or marker knock down will result in a no-time (N/T). In the event of a knock down you will be alerted by a whistle from the ring judge and you will be expected to stop your run and exit the ring directly. A five (5) second penalty will be assessed if the helmet or hat is not on the exhibitor for the entire time in the ring.
  • Riders can only show a maximum of two (2) horses per class. Horses may only be entered once per event per class (Leadline excluded).
